Bin not emptied? First, check if an orange sticker has been placed on the lid. This sticker will provide information as to why your bin has not been emptied. The sticker also provides instructions on how to rectify the issue and have your bin collected.

Your bin may not have been collected for one or more of the following reasons:

  • Not on time
    Ensure your bins are at the kerb the night before collection day.
  • Wrong week
    Check your collection calendar to ensure you put the correct bins out.
  • Overflowing bin
    You must be able to close the lid to avoid waste spilling onto the street.
  • Too heavy
    Your bin may be too heavy to collect – weight limits apply.
  • Contamination
    Incorrect items were found in your bin.
  • Obstacles
    The collection truck could not reach your bin.
